Membership in good standing is required for all registration. All account balances for monies currently due must be paid in full and your membership card must be validated in order to process your registration. Non-members must pay an administrative fee of $35 per person per fiscal year to register. (The fiscal year runs from September 1 to August 31.)
General Information
To accommodate all those who wish to register for Aquatics and Early Childhood classes, we are using a Lottery System. Please read the Lottery Registration Information carefully.
Member registration for all other classes is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Monday, September 4. In order to assure your first choice of classes, drop-off registration is recommended. No telephone registrations will be accepted.
Payment in full is due at the time of registration.
Unless otherwise specified, classes begin the week of January 28. You will be contacted by Monday, January 22 if you need to make a different class selection. Please do not call the YJCC for confirmation of the classes.
The Bergen County YJCC reserves the right to refund class registration fees if it is determined that an account is not current.
Member registration has priority over non-member registration.
Lottery Registration
Information The Lottery System has been designed to facilitate registration in the most efficient and fair manner. To participate in the Lottery, you must place a fully completed registration form with payment in full (check or credit card only; no cash will be accepted) into the Lottery Box at the Member Services Desk any time up to 9:00 am, Monday, January 8. A separate form must be submitted for each family. No mail-in registrations will be included in the Lottery.
Lottery Registration Forms will be drawn at random on Friday, Jan. 8 beginning at 9:30 am. Priority of registration will be established based upon the order of names drawn. You do not have to be present for the Lottery.
Please list a 1st and 2nd choice for Aquatics and Early Childhood classes, as they fill up quickly. All dues, building fund and any other charges due on your account must be paid in full in order to participate in the Lottery. Members with open balances will forfeit their Lottery number. Their registrations will be processed after the Lottery, space permitting, when their accounts are paid in full.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
The YJCC reserves the right to cancel any class in case of insufficient registration. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified and your refund will be processed automatically. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks to receive your refund. If you cancel your enrollment in a class before the first session, a $10 administrative fee will be deducted from your refund. If you cancel your enrollment in a class after the first session, you will receive a 50% refund. There is no refund after the second session of a class. There are no refunds for unused tickets for special events and/or performances. All requests for refunds must be made by the third week of the current class session. The $35 non-member administrative fee is not refundable for any reason, once registration is processed.
