FITNESS CLASSES
HERE THEY ARE! The YJCC is excited to offer many new group fitness classes designed to burn calories, build strength and endurance, and increase your energy. These convenient and innovative classes are taught by top level experts from the fitness world. Please read about our talented group fitness classes below. The new classes range from beginner to intermediate and advanced levels. We invite you to try them out and make them part of your plan of health and wellness at the YJCC. These classes are free for members, except where noted. Non members welcome, additional fee applies.
A perfect compliment to our group fitness classes is 1 or 2 sessions of personal training a week to round out your fitness regimen and get you to the level of health you want and deserve. Many of us need one on one guidance and that extra push to help us realize our health goals. Please contact us for more details regarding personal training.

GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS @ the YJCC
ABStraction All Levels Linda
Intense abdominal work which focuses on toning up your midsection, including hips, love handles and lower abs. A must for all who want that six pack!
ABS Plus All Levels Linda / Ellen
Along with the same intensive abdominal workout we will introduce various different types of equipment to challenge a different muscle group each week.
CARDIO PILATES- All levels/Liz
Get the best of Pilates while sweating and elevating your heart rate at the same time. Liz is the perfect instructor to guide you through the best of both worlds.
CLUB MIX Intermediate to advanced Linda
This boot camp workout involves all of the aspects of group fitness and with a changing format. All of these classes will include aerobic, strength and power training. Get ready to sweat.
CIRCUIT TRAINING All levels Jeff/Linda
Move from station to station in 2-3 minute intervals utilizing different equipment for strength and endurance. This is a challenging class that is fast moving and fun all done to music to keep you motivated.
DIRTY DOZEN All levels Linda
A body sculpting class that involves fat burning exercises which isolates each major muscle group. There is no jumping or aerobics in this class, all floor work. It is recommended to warm up on cardio equipment for 10 mins prior to taking this class.
OTC All levels Matt
Get into shape using various cross-training techniques. Class will meet in aerobics studio.
PILATES All levels Alison/Liz/ Reginald
Based on the principles of Joseph Pilates, this core based mat class is designed to strengthen the entire body.
SPINNING All levels Ray/ Nikki/Reginald/Stephanie/Laza/Lora/Chad
A cardio based workout on our new state of the art bikes that will maximize your fitness and endurance. Enjoy the ride!
Spin and Sculpt All levels Laza
This high intensity class will give you maximum results. Enjoy an interval workout as you bike and tone. Each individual may work at their ownpace, but be ready to sweat. Bring plenty of water and a towel as Laza gets you into shape!
TAEBOX Intermediate to advanced Liz/Linda
A highly invigorating, cardiovascular workout inspired by Taebo that incorporates boxing, punching and kicking. This intense fat burning class will make you sweat from the first punch to the last kick!
TOTAL TONE All levels Ellen/Joanie/Reggie
Total body conditioning designed to target all the major muscle groups. Feel the burn and enjoy the benefit in this class.
YOGA (Vinyasa) All levels - Danielle
A specialty class with yoga postures that help promote flexibility, strength, stress reduction, deep breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.
ZUMBA (All levels) Missy
Leave the workout behind and enjoy the party. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music. It is designed for everyone! You dont have to know how to dance to benefit from the great cardio and sculpting Zumba delivers. Come on in a see the incredible results for yourself!!
Yoga,and Aqua Aerobics require an additional fee and are available to members and non members. All classes are subject to change. All classes are 1 hour unless otherwise specified. All classes are in room 209C except for Spin or as specified. Senior classes can be found in the YJCC Program Guide under Sensational Seniors.
