THE DAVID RUKIN EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER      

A child’s nursery school experience can set the tone for an entire lifetime of learning.
The goal of the David Rukin Early Childhood Center’s Nursery School is to enhance each individual child’s growth and development through a variety of experiences and activities in a warm, supportive and nurturing environment. Family membership in the YJCC is required for Nursery School registration.

Half, Three-Quater & Full Day Options
Limited spaces are still available for 2s, 3s, and 4s.

After-School Care
is available Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for 3s and 4s.
(Note: the building closes at 3:00 pm on Fridays.)
Transportation is available through a private service; restrictions apply.

Before-School Care
may be arranged as a convenience for working parents and/or families with two or more children entering school at different times in the morning.

Optional Lunch Hour
An Optional Lunch Hour is offered for children registered in "three times 3" classes.
Parents have a choice of 1 to 3 days, Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Lunch sessions begin one week after school begins and end one week before school ends.

Mid-Year 2s
Children who reach their second birthday between October 2, 2007 and January 31, 2008 are invited to participate in our Mid-Year 2s program. The two-day Mid-Year 2s is a great introduction to the word of early childhood education. Our caring staff provides a rich educational and social experience for children who are ready for a nursery school environment.
