The Bergen Sharks is a competitive swim team that is a member of the New Jersey Y Swim League as USA Swimming. They have won numerous League Titles, including taking first place in the 2000 New Jersey Y Swim League State Championships. The Sharks are now back on the attack and looking to add new talent to their fast growing team.

In addition to competing against other New Jersey Y teams, individuals will learn, practice and refine competitive racing starts, turns and strokes under the instruction and supervision of highly experienced swim coaches, all of whom are former competitive swimmers. Bergen Sharks swimmers are also given the opportunity to compete in USA swimming events and represent the league in the annual ALL-STAR meet.

Setting goals – and achieving them – strength, both physical and mental, endurance and technique are all qualities that make the Bergen Sharks stand alone when it comes to training young athletes for a successful future.

Through the guidance of the coaches, hard work and dedication, participants will learn all they need to know in order to reach THEIR ULTIMATE POTENTIAL, both in and out of the water.

Ages 6-17. Register in early September. Try-outs for non-member. Swim meets are on Sunday afternoon.

All Try-Outs Begin at 5:00 PM:
Ages 8 & Under: Tuesday, Sept.4
Ages 9-12: Wednesday, Sept.5
Ages 13 & up and make-ups: Thursday, Sept.6

Season: September 16, 2007 – April 14, 2008
Fees: Dependant on practice group
