ADULT PROGRAMS      

The adult programs at the YJCC give our members an opportunity to develop new skills, explore hidden talents, discover new interests and enrich their minds.

Our array of programs includes pottery instruction in our fully equipped ceramics studio, painting, book club, recipe club, day trips, lectures and more. 

Specialized support groups, led by licensed social workers, allow adults to come together in a safe environment to discuss issues of common concern.

The YJCC offers many different opportunities to take part in programs of Judaic interest. The Florence Melton Adult Mini-School, co-sponsored by the UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, enables participants to achieve basic Jewish literacy in just two years. The annual Jewish Learning Project brings renowned scholars and local rabbis together to offer an academically invigorating program on a topic of contemporary interest.

Our Atrium Gallery exhibits showcase photography, paintings and sculpture by local artists. Each month, members and guests are invited to meet the artists at the exhibition’s opening reception.

The Annual Candlelight Dinner, Golf Outing, Holiday Boutique, Jewish Film Series, Women’s Seder and the YJCC Joel P. Spector Run enable members to support our center while coming together as a community! Participation in programs and events at the YJCC creates personal connections and builds community. We strive to provide interesting and eclectic activities that will enhance life and broaden horizons.

SPORTS LEAGUES
Why should kids have all of the fun? With our Men’s Full-Court Basketball League will you can keep in shape and have fun.

Day trips, Book Talks, concerts, and more are just some of the special events the YJCC holds for its members.

CERAMIC STUDIO AND FINE ART CLASSES
The YJCC’s adult art classes give beginners and advanced artists a forum to explore their medium and develop their skills. Our Ceramic Studio offers a complete facility, including 7 electric potter’s wheels (for both left and right-handed people), two extruders, and a slab roller. Our two electric kilns fire at (triangle) 6.
Our creative arts classes provide instruction in water-color painting, acrylic painting, and drawing and painting with water-soluble pencil.
